Party Elections Agent

The Party Elections Agent is a critical, dual-phase field role responsible for securing and auditing the integrity of the electoral process. In the first phase, you will act as a Party Nomination Clerk executing internal party primary elections.
In the second phase, you will transition into an accredited Polling Station Agent representing the candidate during the main IEBC general election. You will be the candidate's primary line of defense, monitoring compliance, tracking statutory forms, and conducting parallel tallying.
We are building a database of vetted Party Elections Agents who shall be posted to support different political party nominations as well different political aspirants in the 2027 General Elections.
Responsibilities
- Primary Election Execution: Administer party nomination desks, verify party registers, issue nomination ballots, and submit initial primary results.
- Pre-Polling Audit: Verify ballot box seals, record box serial numbers, and inspect station setup
- Process Monitoring: Ensure proper biometric verification, biometric fingerprint scanning, and ballot paper stamping
- Results Verification: Oversee the sorting, counting, and tallying of ballots post-closure; formally lodge disputes or request recounts when necessary
- Statutory Form Execution: Verify numbers, record irregularities in the polling station log, and co-sign official Declaration of Results forms.
- Parallel Tallying: Secure a copy of the official results form and immediately transmit data to the campaign’s central command center.
Must Have
- Academic Background: Minimum of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with an aggregate grade of C- (Minus) and above
- Local Residency: Must be a registered voter and resident of the specific County Assembly Ward where you are applying to operate
- Legal Documentation: Must possess a valid National ID card and be ready to sign an official party Non Disclosure Form during onboarding
- Technological Literacy: Proficiency in using smartphones and basic digital systems for data entry and real-time parallel tallying reports.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English and Kiswahili to communicate clearly with other elections personnel.
- Availability: Complete flexibility and availability for both party training sessions and full-day deployment on polling days
