Ward Coordinator

The Center Coordinator is a critical, dual-phase field coordination role responsible for coordinating party elections agents, securing and auditing the integrity of the electoral process. In the first phase, you will act as the Center Coordinator for the Party executing internal party primary elections.
In the second phase, you will transition into an accredited Polling Station Agent representing the candidate during the main IEBC general election. You will be the candidate's primary line of defense, monitoring compliance, tracking statutory forms, and conducting parallel tallying.
We are building a database of vetted Party Elections Coordinators and Agents who shall be posted to support different political party nominations as well different political aspirants in the 2027 General Elections.
Responsibilities
- Station Command & Supervision: Manage the party nomination center during primaries and supervise a team of Elections Agents I during the main general election.
- IEBC Liaison & Dispute Management: Serve as the official, primary point of contact with the IEBC Presiding Officer to formally lodge complaints or demand recounts if irregularities occur.
- Security & Material Audit: Supervise the morning inspection of kits, ballot boxes, serial numbers, and security seals before polling begins.
- Form Verification & Sign-off: Thoroughly audit and sign official statutory result documents ensuring all mathematical data matches the actual physical count.
- Incident Logging: Maintain an independent polling station journal, systematically documenting any procedural breaches, delays, or rejected voters.
- Command Center Escalation: Manage the final parallel tallying dataset and securely transmit verified results to the constituency and national campaign command centers.

- Additional Languages: Ability to speak and comprehend the local dialect used in by the residents in the County Assembly Ward or Constituency where you are applying to operate.
- Academic/Professional Background: Applicants with Legal or IT backgrounds and/or experience are encouraged to apply.

Must Have
- Academic Background: Minimum of a Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution
- Experience: Proven experience in leadership, administration, or previous participation in electoral management (as an elections official, supervisor, or senior agent)
- Local Residency: Must be a registered voter and resident of the specific Constituency where you will supervise operations.
- Command & Leadership: Strong supervisory skills to manage field teams, defuse high-pressure arguments, and stand firm during station disputes.
- Advanced Literacy: Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills to review complex statutory forms and tally sheets under physical fatigue.
- Availability: Absolute availability for intensive management briefings, agent training sessions, and an uninterrupted 24+ hour deployment cycle on polling day.
- Legal Documentation: Must possess a valid National ID card and be ready to sign an official party Non Disclosure Form during onboarding
